Making a New Forge - Part 4

Whilst work on knives progressed very slowly these last few weeks, this week unfortunately I could not work on them at all. Only today I had a bit of time and strength, but it was not worth it to start doing something about knives too much. So I did a bit of work on the forge at least.

The previous layer of fire clay dried and cured thoroughly during the winter, but it also cracked a bit. So today I added a last layer of pure fire clay and I fine-tuned the inner surfaces a bit.

I will let it cure about a week and then I will hopefully be able to finally test it.
